The Pulse of Prosser

Prosser School District Publication - Superintendent Kim Casey

Welcome Back, Prosser Students and Families!

As Superintendent of the Prosser School District, it is my honor to welcome you to the 2025–2026 school year! Each new school year brings the energy of new beginnings, and I am excited for the opportunities that lie ahead for every student, staff member, and family in our district.

This year, we remain committed to the goals outlined in our 2023–2027 Strategic Plan: ensuring rigorous, standards-based learning in every classroom, fostering safe and inclusive schools, and expanding opportunities so that every student can succeed. These priorities guide our work as we continue to focus on both strong academic growth and the social-emotional well-being of our students.

We are also mindful of the financial challenges facing districts across Washington. In Prosser, we are working hard to be good stewards of public resources while protecting programs and supports that matter most for students. Thanks to your partnership and ongoing support, we can continue investing in safe learning environments, strong instructional programs, and extracurricular opportunities that enrich student life.

One of the hallmarks of our district is communication. The Pulse of Prosser will be one of the ways that I will continue to share updates, celebrate student and staff accomplishments, and highlight the ways our schools and community work together.

To our students—your curiosity, energy, and resilience inspire us every day. To our families—thank you for your trust and partnership. And to our community—your support ensures that our schools remain the heart of Prosser, where Mustang Pride is alive and well.

Let’s make the 2025–2026 school year a year of growth, achievement, and community pride—together.

A Prosser High School alum with a Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Raul is thrilled to work in a school setting and reconnect with familiar faces. Outside of work, he enjoys baseball, football, supporting small businesses, and music. Fun fact: Raul is a master four-leaf clover finder! Please join us in giving him a warm welcome back to our Mustang family!

We are thrilled to thank the Prosser Rotary Club for their generous $3,000 donation to support our 3rd-grade production of The Addams Family at the Princess Theatre! Their commitment to the arts helps make experiences like student theater possible, and we can’t wait to see our students shine on stage.
